2024 Articling Student Survey

The Law Societies of Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society are seeking feedback via survey on the training and mentorship that articling students are receiving. The survey will seek feedback on issues related to discrimination and/or harassment, and how to best prepare articling students for legal practice going forward.

In 2019, a similar survey was conducted in partnership with the Law Societies of Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The 2024 version has been revised to capture additional information and to complete a comparative analysis to understand what key issues and challenges need to be addressed.

The survey is available for articling students, new lawyers (called within the last five years), mentors, and principals, and will remain open until end of day, Thursday June 20, 2024. It is projected to take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. For more information on this survey, read the complete announcement from the Law Society of Alberta here.

Upon completion of the survey, enter for a chance to win a free LESA webinar or on-demand program of your choice (valued up to $95).
