The third annual Law and Practice Update at River Cree Resort and Casino in Edmonton is coming up on November 1 and 2. In addition to substantive updates in six areas of law, general and small firm practitioners will have an opportunity to find out if “being on the cloud” is right for them.

Attorney Paul Unger, a managing partner from Affinity Consulting Group in Columbus Ohio, will be giving a presentation that will include the benefits of cloud computing. His background includes civil litigation and specialization in trial presentation and litigation technology consulting, document and case management software, paperless office strategies, and legal-specific software training for law firms and legal departments.

Paul will share various options such as Software as a Service (SaaS) and hosting by a third party. Because Affinity Consulting Group has experience with various SaaS products, Paul will also be able to give details on a number of products to help you determine what would be best for your practice.

Some other highlights of the conference will include updates in the following practice areas:

  • Family
  • Real Estate
  • Wills
  • Tax
  • Succession Planning
  • Buying & Selling a Practice

In addition to quality legal education, Law and Practice Update provides great value with over $500 worth of coupons towards LESA live events and resources and Law Society of Alberta loss prevention rebate.
