A new Court of King’s Bench Criminal Search service allows Albertans and members of the legal community to search for criminal actions in any Court of King’s Bench location and electronically receive the results.
The following criminal search requests may be submitted through the service:
- Media requests
- Urgent requests
- Record suspensions
- US waivers
- Exhibits
- Endorsements
- Requests for viewing of files
- Copy of documents
- Certification of documents
A search fee of $10.00 is charged when appropriate, and additional fees may apply depending on the request submitted. Court Operations may also contact requestors for additional information about the requests. Access to youth court information is unavailable unless directed by the judge. A release must be completed and authorized by the Attorney General prior to accessing young offender data.
