2024 Update Details
The 2024 update to the Alberta Wills and Estates Legislation included updates to various statutes and regulations related to wills and estates practice. In addition to the new Medical Suitability Criteria Regulation, Alta Reg 23/2023, the update included recently amended legislation such as the Surrogate Rules, Alta Reg 130/1995, which had recent amendments to proof of signing formalities and wills written in languages other than English and French, among other provisions.
