LESA would like to pay tribute to former LESA Board chair and distinguished lawyer, Donald R. Cranston KC.
Don is recognized by Bennett Jones LLP for his role as a pillar of the firm, and a dedicated mentor. Among his many professional achievements include an election as a Bencher, and later President, of the Law Society of Alberta. Don appeared before all levels of tribunals and courts in Alberta and Canada. He was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers in 2008, and was appointed King’s Counsel (then Queen’s Counsel) in 1998. Don is widely recognized for his contributions to the field of law and the community at large.
LESA would like to recognize and express our gratitude for Don’s contributions as a LESA Board chair, presenter, and author of continuing legal education materials. We honour his contributions to the Alberta legal community and extend our deepest condolences to his family.
