October is Women’s History Month

October marks the beginning of Women’s History Month in Canada. This month is dedicated to recognizing the importance of women in our society, and the achievements and contributions of women from diverse backgrounds.

In 1992, the Canadian government began recognizing this month to honour women and girls throughout Canada’s history. Today, we continue this tradition by highlighting the contributions and impacts of women in our communities. This year’s theme is “Women at Work: Economic Growth Past, Present, and Future”, recognizing the contributions women have made on Canada’s workforce, economy, and society as a whole.
