This on-demand program provides a brief overview of the Court of King’s Bench commercial list and considers its jurisdiction, and the kinds of applications brought before it. The presentation also addresses the obligations and remedies sections of the Alberta Business Corporations Act. Under the oppression remedies section, the presenter discusses who can stand as a “complainant”, whether the “Business Judgment Rule” shields conduct from potential remedies, and Part 18 investigations.
