Lebanese Heritage Month

November marks the second annual national Lebanese Heritage Month in Canada. First established in 2023, this month recognizes the diversity of the various Lebanese communities in Canada and their contributions to all aspects of our society.

The Lebanese community has called Canada home for more than 140 years, with origins tracing back to 1882. The Lebanese community is diverse, encompassing many different cultures and religions. At the core of Lebanese values are that of family, work ethic, and community; all which contribute to the fabric of Canada. The LESA team wishes the Lebanese community a happy Lebanese Heritage Month!

As we celebrate one another’s cultures, traditions, and histories, and as more and more workplaces develop anti-racism policies and look to shift their systems and culture, it is imperative that lawyers who handle employment, human rights, or workplace investigation matters stay up to date on the law and related practice. Our upcoming Anti-Racism in Employment law (Webinar) will explore relevant human rights jurisprudence and practical strategies relating to policies, employee training, and reporting systems through the lens of cognitive bias and theory.
