Surrogate Forms

It is expected that the new Wills & Succession Act will be proclaimed February 1, 2012.  This will impact the Surrogate Rules and Forms. The Chief Justice and Associate Chief Justice, Court of Queen’s Bench have issued a Notice to the Profession concerning the amendments to the Surrogate Rules and Forms, and a grace period to April 30, 2012, to allow the profession to adapt to these amendments. LESA is working closely with senior officials in Alberta Justice and the Attorney-General to provide the profession in Alberta with timely and accurate access to the new Surrogate Forms.
