Alberta Court of Appeal Swearing-In Ceremonies: Justice Kevin Feth and Justice Alice Woolley

The Alberta Court of Appeal has recently announced the swearing-in ceremonies for Justice Kevin Feth and Justice Alice Woolley will be held on March 8, 2024 and March 15, 2024, respectively.

Justice Feth

In 1989, Justice Feth received his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta and in 1990, he was called to the Alberta bar. In 2010, he was appointed as King’s counsel. He was also a sessional instructor in Labour Law at the University of Alberta Law School, and instructor in litigation at the Alberta Bar Admission Court. Since 2015, he has served as the President of Pro Bono Law Alberta. In 2019, Justice Feth was appointed to the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta. Prior to his appointment, he was a partner at Field Law and practiced in education, employment and labour, administrative, Aboriginal, commercial and constitutional litigation, and human rights law.

Justice Woolley

In 1994, Justice Woolley received her LLB from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where she received the Dean’s Key and Gold Medal. In 1995, she earned her LLM from Yale Law School. In 1997, she was called to the Alberta bar. In 2018, Justice Woolley was appointed to the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta. At the time of her appointment, she was a professor at the University of Calgary Faculty of Law. Justice Woolley is a nationally and internationally recognized scholar of lawyer’s ethics and professional regulation and has served as the President of the International Association of Legal Ethics.
