The Court of King’s Bench of Alberta has recently announced the launch of a digital document delivery project as part of the Court Case Management (“CCM”) system. This pilot program, effective April 27, 2023, will introduce digital delivery of documents to the judiciary for previously booked half-day civil specials in Calgary.
The program is intended to streamline the court process and improve efficiency by allowing lawyers to upload electronic materials directly to the Justice assigned to the matter. Counsel practicing in Calgary should be aware that they may be contacted by the court with instructions to facilitate this process if they have an impacted matter.
