Do you need a refresher in financial statement analysis? Did you attend Financial Statements: Learning to Swim this fall to understand the basics? Are you ready to dive deeper now? Well, we have good news for you! Presenter Kristin Gray CIRP, LIT, CPA, CA is coming back for another lunchtime webinar in January to present Financial Statements: Deeper Dive.
Kristin is currently a Senior Vice President and partner in MNP’s insolvency and corporate recovery group, where her day to day work involves helping clients successfully restructure businesses and preserve value, by providing restructuring and insolvency advice to financial institutions, creditors, government agencies, shareholders, and debtors. While Kristin’s professional life now revolves around insolvency and restructuring work, her introduction to this world began in a personal way, after a condominium purchased from a developer was placed into receivership before the development was complete. At the time, Kristin was a newly designated chartered accountant, and her experience with this process ultimately launched a career in corporate insolvency and restructuring.
Because Kristin is constantly analyzing financial statements and information through the lens of trying to understand what when wrong and how it can be fixed or avoided, she offers a unique perspective for lawyers to consider when they are advising clients in many areas of law: litigation, mergers and acquisitions, lending, martial disputes, and more.
Here’s what Kristin had to say about what you, as a lawyer, stand to gain from attending Financial Statements: Deeper Dive
In Financial Statements: Deeper Dive we focus on a detailed analysis of financial statements, the relationships between various components and accounts, and how to use financial statements to assess value or health of a business.
The first part of the webinar will focus on understanding the tools and approaches to financial statement analysis. In the latter half of the webinar, participants will practice analyzing example financial statements and answering questions regarding the health and performance of the corporation.
We hope that you can join Kristin for this lunchtime learning opportunity!

Need a refresher of the basics?
Kristin presented Financial Statements: Learning to Swim as a lunchtime webinar this fall. The presentation was recorded and is now available as an On-Demand Program on the LESA Classroom.
Here’s Kristin’s short synopsis of this introductory program:
In Financial Statements: Learning to Swim the objective was to be able to gain confidence in reading and understanding financial statements. The course took participants through a background to financial reporting, defined common financial terms, and provided example financial statements.
While this course is not a prerequisite for the upcoming Financial Statements: Deeper Dive webinar, if you are unfamiliar with the basics, you may benefit from reviewing the introductory information prior to attending the webinar.
You can purchase Financial Statements: Learning to Swim (On-Demand) here.
