The Alberta courts have recently implemented the expansion of the Court Case Management (the “CCM”).
Effective April 29, 2024, the CCM digital document delivery document expanded to the judicial centres of Lethbridge and Red Deer. Improving efficiency for lawyers is the goal. This change allows lawyers to upload electronic materials directly to the Justice assigned to a matter. The Court will contact any Counsel with impacted matters to ensure seamless transition of document delivery.
Effective April 29, 2024, the CCM also expanded in Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer and Lethbridge to include previously booked half-day SafeRoads applications heard September 1, 2024, and onwards. Other types of SafeRoads applications such as full day or stay applications will not be accepted through the CMM. For more information, read the complete court announcement here.
