Joint Degree Program Provides New Opportunities for Law Students in Canada and India

The University of Calgary, Faculty of Law has launched a joint degree program with Jindal Global International in India. The program allows law students enrolled at the University of Calgary and Jindal Global University to obtain law degrees and job experience in both Canada and India. The program currently has five students enrolled and is designed to assist them in gaining summer student and articling positions.[1]

This program follows the example set out by the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute. The Institute has recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to allow post-secondary institutions in Alberta and India to share knowledge more easily through professional development opportunities, new research partnerships, and engagement with students and faculty.

We wish these students much success at the University of Calgary, Faculty of Law and beyond.
