LESA’s upcoming webinar Dealing with Tax Disputes will provide attendees with tips and strategies to navigate complicated tax disputes and will explore the intricacies of the CRA’s processes and framework. The webinar will be presented by Gergely Hegedus, partner in Dentons’ Tax Group.
Gergely’s practice focuses specifically on tax litigation and dispute resolution. Prior to joining the Dentons group, he represented Canada Revenue Agency as legal counsel in the Department of Justice Canada for over eight years.[1]
Gergely will provide attendees with a paper that sets out the chronological process of tax disputes. Beginning with the audit process, his paper will move on to discuss how to challenge an assessment by filing a notice of objection, and then filing a notice of appeal with the Tax Court of Canada. It also outlines the various alternative remedies that are available for practitioners outside of the objection and appeals process. These include T1 adjustment requests, voluntary disclosure applications, and more.
Dealing with Tax Disputes will broadcast live on Wednesday, April 12 at noon. Click here to register. We look forward to seeing you online next week!
