From the perspective of a title insurer, this presentation explores the structure of title insurance policies, typical exclusions, and conditions. It also addresses what to do when lawyers or their clients have questions about coverage, what lawyers and clients need to keep in mind when making a claim, and the factors that insurers will consider when handling a claim. Using real-world examples, the presentation explores common issues in both residential and commercial coverage scenarios.
