This paper discusses discipline and due diligence of employees and the importance of enforcing safety policies and procedures. The paper focuses on whether, when and to what extent employers should discipline employees for a breach of their safety policy and the dangers of not disciplining employees. It also looks at how and where discipline can be challenged in union and non-union environments.
