The types of claims advanced against a municipality are evolving and issues relating to expropriation of lands are becoming more common. This presentation explores emerging trends in claims related to land use and zoning, and it analyzes the application of Annapolis Group Inc v Halifax Regional Municipality in the context of Alberta municipalities.
