The Municipal Government Act establishes special mechanisms and processes to assist municipalities with collecting tax arrears related to land and improvements. This presentation explores the statutory and common law remedies for collecting tax arrears, and outlines the special liens created in favour of municipalities with respect to property tax arrears.
This on-demand program was originally presented as an in-person program on March 16, 2023 as part of our Municipal Law program.
