This program is offered in collaboration with the Alberta Council of Women’s Shelters (ACWS). The ACWS is the provincial network organization for women’s shelters in Alberta and has a strong focus on community education and empowerment to address and end gender-based and domestic violence.
Below is a statement from ACWS:
We believe in a world free from violence and abuse and know these issues are the collective responsibilities of the entire community, including legal structures. Through our Call to Action, Leading ChangeTM, we provide the tailored, strengths-based education and resources that workplaces, schools, government, sports groups, and communities need to make the lasting, transformational change needed to bring an end to domestic violence.
